Change or set your password

Change your password from your profile, or add one to a Google or Apple account.

  1. 1Open the account menu (your initial, top right) and choose Profile.
  2. 2Under Password, choose Change password. If you sign in with Google or Apple and have no password yet, it says Set a password.
  3. 3Enter your current password (if you have one), then your new password twice. It needs at least 6 characters.
  4. 4Choose Change password. You stay signed in on this device.

We ask for your current password so someone using your unlocked computer can’t change it. Forgot it? Use Forgot your password.

To sign out everywhere else after changing it, use Sign out of all devices.
